Libjo mayor loses P2-M a year for KALAHI-CIDSS; says it's all worth it |

2.59% of total national population in 2007 lives in Caraga Region |

Butuan City (10 September) -- Final
results of the latest census conducted in August 2007 revealed that the
total population of Caraga Region or Northeastern Mindanao was posted
at 2,293,480. This means that for every 100 persons living in the
Philippines, 2 lives in Caraga Region (2.59 percent).

Launching of Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Project |
The Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands through the Provincial Planning and Development Office launched the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Project and at the same time conducted the CBMS Training Workshop on Data Collection for Lead Trainers last July 1-3, 2008. It was attended by the MPDCs, MHOs, Municipal Agriculturist, MLGOOs, and MSWDOs of the seven municipalities with the CBMS Team from PPDO Personnel.

Congresswoman Glenda B. Ecleo pushes Rita Glenda |
Cong.
Glenda B. Ecleo, Representative of the Lone District of Dinagat Islands, pushes
the creation of Rita Glenda into a regular and district municipality.
According to Rep.
Ecleo, Rita Glenda will be the 8th municipality of the Province of Dinagat
Islands, which comprises Twelve (12) barangays from the municipalities of
Libjo, Basilisa and Cagdianao, namely: Rita Glenda, Benglen, Sombrado, Diegas,
Villa Pantinople, Villa Ecleo, Bayanihan, Llamera, Rosita Boa, Legaspi and
Valencia.
